POKOTABI / Dining Bar Sou
ダイニングバー惣
Tucked in a Hongo basement, Dining Bar Sou pairs crisp stone-oven pizzas and roast beef with draft craft beers, whiskies, and easygoing small plates.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Step down the stairs into this basement hideaway, and Dining Bar Sou unfolds into an easygoing dining bar anchored by stone-oven cooking and a generous drink list. Located slightly away from the bustle of the Tokyo Dome and Korakuen area, its calm atmosphere suits a sit-down dinner just as well as an unhurried round of drinks.
The thin, crisp-crusted pizzas baked in the stone oven are a natural starting point. The selection spans classics like Margherita, a rich 4-cheese pie, and the egg-topped Bismarck with dry-cured ham. For heartier appetites, the kitchen also turns out slow-cooked stone-oven roast beef and substantial 3-meat platters, making dinner here plenty satisfying.
The bar is well stocked, featuring craft beer poured from the Tap Marché system alongside Hoegaarden White, highballs, and a broad range of whiskies including Scotch. An approachable lineup of small plates—such as garlic shrimp, shrimp and broccoli ajillo, and marinated octopus—caters equally well to solo drinkers dropping in for a snack and groups looking to share.
Whether you are looking for a bite before or after an event nearby or settling in for a quiet drink after work, it is a versatile stop in the neighbourhood.
